Seattle to Denver

Post by SDMAX2 »

Been on the road about a week; hitting rain and even a little snow; tonight finds me in Laramie, striking distance of Denver but too freaking cold to go futher; last 150 miles have been flashing temp of under 35 degrees; R12 running great except Battery Failure light has been on as much as it's been off since Seattle; tomorrow Denver BMW will install a new battery and the existing battery will go back to Cycle Gear; I'm hoping it's the battery and not the dreaded ABS module.

I have the biggest Parabellum barn door windshield extent with Don C block; it ain't like an RT but it's not awful with Air Hawk and Givi bags; I"ve learned to use a dry bag stuffed where the pillion would be; keeps the weight lower.

This is the continuation of last years run from San Diego to Anchorage via Alaskan Ferry system; thence to Dawson Yukon Territory and south through the Yukon and then Cassiar Hwy through BC and then into Washington State where bike got left end of last May; this current trip gets the bike to Denver; my son's bike is already there; next month we ride together from Denver to San Diego via all the good stuff in Utah, the Grand Canyon and Vegas.

Rock on.
