Hi folks.

I could use some hints from the gurus here, what are the significant differences between a 1996 and 1998 models of R850Rs?

I know the 98 has the "face lift" instrument panel, but is there any other important changes?

Biggest change I can think of is the older one probably has the M94 transmission and the other has the improved M97 transmission

I could vaguely recollect there was some significant difference, but couldn't remember what it was.
