Howdy All, I just bought an 04 R1150R last week and am excited about the machine. I bought in Louisiana and rode back to the Atlanta area on a very chilly day. Unfortunately, my clothing wasn't quite up to the task, so a quick stop at a WalMart for a windproof hunting jacket helped. The heated hand grips were a real bonus and made the trip possible. I haven't figured out how to load images yet and don't have a public site to link to. Guess all of that can be figured out in time and I'll post some pics then.
One question I have is regarding mirror extensions. I had found a post where someone had bought them on Amazon, but I can't find BMW specific ones. Does anyone know the correct size?
Thanks

Congrats on the new bike, and welcome.
Not sure what you mean by "extensions" for mirrors.
I have a set of bar end mirrors from Sky King in addition to my stock mirrors.

Welcome to the 'herd' wilt737 !!!
I think you'll find the 1150R to be about the only bike you wil need, unless you plan on going off road !!!!
It's a well balanced bike that does everything you ask of it .
I have to ask you because of your username, are you involved with aviation at all ??
AirTran / Southwest, or Delta ??

Welcome!!
Since you've bought your BMW with winter coming on you need to make sure the antifreeze levels in the tankside radiators are up to snuff. Pretty simple procedure really. But very important!
