Anyone know of a good price from a reliable source? I have an '03 R1150R with a need for a new one (not used). Thanks in advance.

It would appear from the Max BMW parts fiche that there are 2 different Hall effect sensors with 2 different part numbers for the R1150R - A & B in the diagram below. You'll have to make sure you get the right one.

Image

Beemerboneyard (USA) - http://www.beemerboneyard.com/hallsensors.html US$225

Motorworks (UK) - http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/ ... 0&spPage=3 136 pounds. Approx. US$216

Max BMW (USA) - http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/ ... d=08102012 US$300 - 312

Postage has to be added. Your profile doesn't say where you are but assuming you live in USA Beemerboneyard might be a little cheaper and quicker.

I know you said you do not want a used one but I have a perfectly good used one you can have for $100 if you change your mind. :)

Thanks for all the replies. I ordered the ignition sensor from Euro Motoelectrics <https://www.euromotoelectrics.com> in Colorado for $224 + shipping. Very nice folks and very efficient service. At their suggestion, I called to ask for help with international shipping (Mexico). They were very creative and helpful. I recommend them.
