So I thought this would be a good farkle for my newish R12R, especially since the dry spell in the Midwest isn't going to last forever.
Taking Robert's hint I surfed over to the MAM website and there it was at the reduced price. I ordered it on Monday and it arrived this afternoon. That's pretty good service, even considering it only had to travel from New Jersey to Chicago. And no shipping charge!
Kinda wish they sold more stuff for our bikes

Add me to the lust if the curious. I have an ilberger rear hugger that works great. The rear shock and the undersides of the rear of the bike stay relatively free of crud and the backs of my kegs stay dry in the wet whether. Can't say rhe same for the fronts of my legs.

The mudsling fits well and once its on the bike you never notice it again. It keeps the tire from throwing dirt at the rear shock absorber. It's a good idea, because throwing dirt at a hydraulic shaft will destroy the seals and is stupid. BMW should have something like this on the stock bike, but since they don't, the mudsling or a hugger is pretty much a necessity for those of us who want to keep our bike for a while.

Kinda wish they sold more stuff for our bikes. Chuck Yes, Me too.Andrew Serbinski, the design engineer at MAM has more GS parts than R. He told me the R just doesn't have the sales volume.
Therefore, he was not thinking of producing a hugger for the R. Their cylinder guards offer a lot of coverage area, and I am pleased with my set. Like my MudSling, too.
+1 las & DonC comments. I agree with you guys. Should have been on there from BMW.

I intalled a set of Ohlins shocks a while ago and installed a mud sling at the same time, it's a easy install, fits well and keep the grunge off the shock and battery.
