new guy checking in

i am new to this board. this is my bike. i think i will change the oil today. i am ready for the 600 mile service. i want to do the final drive too, but i need a decent syringe. any ideas? i bought the land rover lube. this is my "power ranger" outfit. i am old. i am slow.
got any beer?

Love your first post! Very informative...
Look, the final drive is super easy to do yourself. Take the exhaust and rear wheel off (15 minutes max). Take the fill plug off ( If memory serves right it is a sensor plug) and remove the drain plug on the bottom of the drive. Make sure you measure the amount of fluid that comes out and put the same amount back in. You can use a syringe or a small funnel and some clear tubing. ...its really that easy.

Welcome aboard. I can see that you are slow just by looking at you (not!) Don't worry the bike will more than compensate.

I use a squeeze bottle with a few inches of clear tubing on the nozzle. The bottle is similar to the kind that mustard and ketchup comes in (or used to at least) at a burger bar. Better control of the flow than with a syringe in my experience.
