Anybody Recognize This?

Found this on the floor of my garage, under my R12R, and can't seem to figure out where it goes.....
It's about the size of your thumb. Thanks!

That is the throttle cable guide/guard. It snaps onto the metal elbow part of the throttle cable as it comes out of the throttle grip housing.

Mine fell on the floor too, it is now in the garage. Is there a purpose for it? Thanks

I think its the season for them to fall, as i was putting a cover on bike yesterday after a quick ride, mine fell off too, i put in the saddle bag and decided to deal with it the next time i go riding if i remember
