2011 R1200R; 'creaking' sound when applying front brake?

Hello all, noticed this when I was riding the bike over to the wash area in my apartment:

A sound that can only be described as 'creaking' when I apply the front brake- it appears to come from somewhere 'beneath the bars'. When at a standstill, additional/continual application does not cause the sound to be emitted, however, when the bike is rolled forwards or backwards, whether under power (forwards) or not (forwards/backwards)- with the engine running- it seems like something is 'reset' and, the sound will return if the front brake is applied.

Anyone else has experience of this? Mine's the ABS + ESC model.

Thanks!

hi
my gs had the same problem when i first bought . it was the handle bar clamp .at a standstill it would creak when i pulled the handlebars up or put front brake on , i tightened it only 1/4 of a turn and never been a problem since, it was only one of the bolts .
so it could be this possibly.
piston :)

Mine also, but it turned out to be the floating fr disks moving.
They expand and contract hot-cold and float on aluminum bobbins

I spoke to a bike mechanic familiar with the R today and he concurred with the 'floating disc' explanation.

Anyways, he did observe, that if there was anything truly wrong with the brakes, it would be impossible NOT to notice!

Thanks, all.

So what was the solution? Can you be more specific about the "floating"
