Anyone now of any options for 1150R in place of OEM panniers?

TIA

You mean hard panniers or soft throwovers?

I'd imagine soft throwovers would work ok - especially with a lowered/removed can.

I would prefer hard cases such as the Givi Trekker, but I'm informed they do not make a fitting kit for R1150R

i ran soft bags for over a year, tried givi hard bags and then bmw system cases. Let me tell you.... They got the system cases right. Everything else was a waste of money. My 1100 gs had happy trail bags which wete great, but I still like the bmw bags the best.

I'm currently running Hepco & Becker cases on a SW Motech frame. There are options for a backrest and top case, but I don't have em. Usually I have all the mounting brackets on the bike without the frame which mounts in seconds. The bags then mount to the frame easily and securely. They're big and good lookin'. I someday plan on getting the silver stripe paint matched to the copper color on the Rockster. Everything was purchased through Eurotech Motorsports. I actually bought their show bike: http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/phot ... m?do=thumb

I have the Oxford Sports softbags, and they're just great.
And they look way better on a Rockster than the hardcases....

I have both a 2004 Rockster and a 2001 R1150GS in our stable. The Touratech pannier mounts and therefore TT panniers fit RIGHT on to the Rockster. So any mounts that fit the GS will fit the Rockster. The Rockster has the SYSTEM CASES and they are all the same except R1100S and of course exhaust cut outs for high pipes.

Just get what fits on a R1150GS. If you see someone with a GS or go to a dealership just try the system cases, you'll see. Also eyeball the mounts, they are the same.
