Does anybody have riding goals? I have a blue r12r with just under 8,000 miles on it. My goal by the end of the season is to have 20,000. My long term goal is to rider all 50 states.

As a BMW and an R1200R newby, a cancer survivor and reentry rider this first full year, my goals are modest. :-k
-Keep both wheels on the the ground and going in the desired direction.
-Enjoy my commuting season to it's fullest.
-Take some cool pics along the way.
-Doddle over the Mistress so much as the Wife will allow.

Long term goal(s): Leave the state and actually go somewhere with the Mistress; but I'm in no real hurry. I live in a wonderful rural area.

I'm a big believer in "There's plenty to see right under your nose; slow down and have a look."

Ride, Enjoy, Smile, Repeat. To each there own journey [-o<

This will be my first summer with a bike in over 15 years. My goal is to stop talking about it and thinking about it...but get the heck outta town and do some camping and hiking. I hope to convince my sons to ride on the back (one at a time!) on a few trips. Tough sell...they think the back seat is only for girls.

I originally was planning on a coast-to-coast-to-coast this year.. I'm retiring in a bit less then a month (WHEEEEE!!!!!) Something got in the way - my son is getting married in July - on the other coast. SWMBO didn't go for her flying out and me riding out (go figure..) so it ends up I'll be driving the 5-series coast-to-coast-to-coast again. Which chews about a month out of the summer. I may still try for C2C2C - but wait until September or so..

I'm hoping to get to the RA national (can't do the MOA national which is right around the corner from me - less then 200 miles since it's the same weekend my son gets married..) in Wisconsin, and I will be doing the Morton's Spring Fling with another R12R owner/forum member (Hi John!) and probably Square Route Rally for the ummm... 17th year.

So - my goal this year - wear out the PR3's I just ordered.. and mebbe more.
