No ABS though I'll bet. Those touring optioned bikes don't have ABS. Weird.

Right you are - no tone ring on the front wheel. Very weird.. I guess BMW had a bunch of non-ABS bikes they couldn't sell, so they tart them up as the "touring" model and try to push them out the door that way..

Dealer I talked to said that when the importer staff asked around, dealers said, "We'll take a couple with ABS and grips, and throw in a Touring model or two..." The dealers *assumed* that it was understood they wanted ABS on the Touring bikes, but whomever filled out the forms and sent them off to Berlin didn't check the "ABS" box on the Touring setup form. So -- no Touring rigs brought to US with ABS. It was a very costly screwup.

They're on sale all over the place. I know of two of those rigs here in the Bay Area sitting on showroom floors. Here's one:

There's a blue one at another dealer. San Diego BMW has a black one. I know because, when I was shopping for my bike, I wanted a Touring model only to discover none had ABS.

Yep, 2 of them in St Louis last month when I was there. Interesting was that one had the Comfort seat ( Standard on the Touring ) and the other didn't. When they brought that to BMW's attention they said, Oh well.
