Yeah, I know. If I had the money I've spent on farkles for this bike I could have a DRZ400sm sitting in the garage next to it, and i haven't even bought an exhaust can for it!!!
Please post pictures of yours when you get it. With and whithout the panniers please

You'll like it. I put a carbon fiber one on 6 weeks ago. Not loud by a long shot, even with the quiet core out.

Maybe just washed? Nice looking bike, tho.
I'll put up a pic of my own bike once I get the can on (next weekend, likely) and get the top-case BMW is still working on for me. Will show the GPS & voltmeter install as well.

How'd you like Kentucky? - I had planned to get down there this summer, but work got in the way. My sister was just down for the World Equestrian Games & loved it. I imagine it's a great place to ride a motorbike... any recommendations? Great places stayed? Good food? etc...

I'm not DeltaDagger - but I did spend a few days riding in Kentucky last year. HIGHLY recommended. Great roads in the central and eastern part of the state. The area around Lexington is really nice (visit one or two of Lincoln's birthplaces..) And the best part about Kentucky, it's right next door to West by-god Virginia!

I am in the middle of a little fall get away in KY right now. I dropped in via the Madison Indiana bridge and bushwacked southwest to Bardstown to the Jim Beam distillery yesterday. Today I plan to tag the rest of the distillerys on the Bouborn Trail, then head for Berea (sp?). The "plan" for now is to take the KY Heritage Trail down to the southeast part of the state then pick up the Louisville BMW Lap of KY route and loop back to Louisville.

We stayed at a Best Western in Carrolton. Took 227 south from there. Caught 460 east of Georgetown. Took it southeast to Jeffersonville. Caught 213 south to Stanton. Took 11 to Daniel Boone Nat'l forest. Will definately take this route again. Definately got some wear on the sides of my tires.

I'm a Kentucky native, anytime any of you guys need a "guide", just email or pm me. There are some fantastic backroads along the southern part of KY from hopkinsville east....no traffic at all most days. My wife is like a horse jockey, constantly spurring me to go faster thru the curves.
