Hwy. 82, Aspen, CO

Just got back from vacation in Glenwood Springs, CO. From Boulder I rode down Hwy. 93, past Red Rocks, through Morrison, and onto 285 for several hours. Hwy. 285 is not good riding: heavier traffic, long stretches of flat, farm equipment blocking traffic . . . but it got me to Hwy. 82, which rises from Twin Lakes to Aspen, and 82 is spectacular
This time of year the aspens are in full color, which makes a w o w ! ride a W O W !!! ride. For such a gorgeous road the traffic was fairly light (rode it on a Friday and a Monday-- guessing that weekends draw out the crowds.) So if you're riding near Aspen, definitely take Hwy. 82!
