Do any of you have any first or second hand experience with the Portachopper motorcycle trailer for hauling your R around?

Stay away from anything with small diameter tires, unless you are hauling under 100 miles and under 60 mph. Those things are not really hway ready and the small tires get hot really fast. I would recomend a 15" trailer rated tire......

To add to the problems of small wheels / tires, think of the wheel bearings.
The smaller the tire, the faster it goes around at any given speed so the faster
the wheel bearing spins - not to mention small wheels have smaller bearings to
start with.
So, "real" highway speeds for any distance are taking a chance.
I converted an old boat trailer (shortened the tongue), put a dropped straight
axle from the back of a mid size front drive car under it (widened the axle),
added some overload springs, and now I've got 15" tires on car hubs and bearings.
I've built a cargo box for it and have hauled pretty heavy loads long distances
at near 80 mph quite a number of times. No problems.
