Front Brake Master Cylinder

I was going to post this in the R1100R section, but it doesn't get as much traffic as here and this does discuss R1150R parts. I'm in need of a front brake master cylinder for my R1100R. I rebuilt it a few years ago and I recently noticed that it has started to leak again. I'd rather replace it at this point. My first check was ebay, but there wasn't anything available. My question is regarding a front brake master cylinder from an R1150R....can it be made to work? There currently seems to be plenty of choices for one of those on ebay. I've looked at the pictures, but it's difficult to tell for sure whether it will fit. So I'm hoping someone here may know the answer. Has anyone made the switch? Thanks for your help.

R1150-type front brake master would require corresponding switchgear and possible change to wiring harness (at harness connectors). The R1100 and R1150 handcontrols vary in both hydraulics/mechanicals and the electrical switch modules.

Good deal on new R1100 brake master:

If you want a cheap solution, then I've got two R1100 front brake master cylinders: one that I took off my old R850R, and one I bought as spare. Both are operational but have "aesthetic irregularities". PM me and we can discuss specifics.
