=D> Ok folks, I'm back after a few months' hiatus. I now have a buyer for my Ruby Red Roadster ('04 r1150ra w/ 28,000mi) and have found some great low mileage f800st's & R1200st's. I am open to any feedback regarding these models. Reasons for changing bikes: lighter weight, Wind protection (@59 yrs old & only 120 lbs the R can be unwieldy), different power band, smoother & less clunky feeling. This will be my only bike, so i want one to do local & long distance rides comfortably. I will be getting a Rick Mayer Saddle and risers (if pre-owned model doesn't already have) and will install my Remus Ti system.

thanks folks & vroom vroom..................... :D

I'm around your neck of the woods, age wise and owned an R1150R, that being said, a lighter, more manageable, about the same performance and equally adept for everyday use the F800ST surely fills the bill.

Check the F800 thread, CycleRob went from an R1150 to an F800 and he is defenitely closer to your weight.......he is a good friend and thinks a world of his new bike.

Good luck
