Does anybody have a muffler lowering kit? It was a three piece kit that was used on Police GS's to allow them to run a full sized left bag. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I believe I do. I have some attachments that lower the exhaust. let me go home and find the pics of it and see if thats what you are looking for.

This may not lower it enuf for your purposes, but it was all I needed to run my bags without fear of melting the bottoms.
If nothing else, maybe it will give you some ideas.

Nothing fancy (or expensive) at all - only needed to lower the muffler about 1-1/2" or so.

Loosened the joint at the front of the muffler, undid the bolt in the middle of the muffler, put some weight
on the back end of the muffler (stood on it), used a short piece of shiny strap metal (could use galvanized
or aluminum, worked OK for me, was behind the bag anyway) with a hole in ea end, reused the original
mounting bolt to fasten the bottom end of the strap to the muffler with a SS self lock nut, got a short SS bolt to fasten the top of the strap to the original muffler mounting point. Retightened the muffler clamp, no leaks.

If you try to go much lower, you'd probly need a 45 deg exhaust elbow of the appropriate size, chrome or whatever, and cut it to obtain the proper degree of lowering, like 30 deg for instance. You could still use a flat polished aluminum strap.
