Y pipe/Cat Eliminators
I'm interested in eliminating the cat on my '04 model... I see Remus offers a Y -pipe - are there other manufacturers of these Y -pipes and/or cat eliminators? If so - which are recommended for build quality - any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Y pipe/Cat Eliminators
Most of the vendors that provide aftermarket exhausts for the brand will have the Y pipe. For the most part, barring some minor construction chanes they are about the same. I went with the TBR (Two Brothers Racing)system, back in '03 and had no issues with it.
The Y pipe could be bought for $100, don't know what they go for today, or if they still make it. You might check on ebay or beemerboneyard.com for a used one and save some $$$.
I had mine Jet-Hot coated and worked great.

Re: Y pipe/Cat Eliminators
I had the Remus system on my 1st R(2001) I have a Staintune system on my current R(2002)
Both had/have cat eliminators. The Remus has a Y pipe, the Staintune has a box system instead of the cat.
Both have there own sound. Either is OK with me.
