Does anyone know if a Laguna Mini tank bag (retails around $110) will fit/adapt well on an 1150R ? If not - any recommendations without spending vast quantities of cash.

That's my Nelson Riggs Silver Streak bag if the link works - otherwise
just do a search. I'm not at my regular computer now or i could toss in a
link to where i bought it. Last summer, don't remember how much but
i don't think much over $50. A number of places have them available,
just shop for th price.

here's the matching saddle bags - just the 'standrd" trim, not with all the
stripes and other bling, also a pretty decent deal

I have the Cortech Super 10 magnetic which fits very nicely and looks decent on the R. IMO any of the Cortech Super or Mimi series would fit as they have a somewhat rounded bottom which fit the contour of the tank well.

Thanx Marty2 - have been looking at the Cortech but didn't know about fit.

I've used both the FAMSA Enduro Max

and the Wolfman Timberwolf on my Rockster and been happy with both of them.

Both are good bags, and I only switched to the Timberwolf as it was easier to swap between my Rockster and Megamoto.

Joe, are they both strap on type bags? I am looking at a Famsa on Ebay, and it looks like a strap type.

How does $17 for a 22.5 liter bag sound?

Yes. The timberwolf is and you can see the straps in the picture with the FAMSA.

And yes, I have a set on my R as well. Great for touring and they don't look bad either. Keep the bugs off me and my grips.

Woohoo, two question in one post. And not even directed at me.

The photo was taken in the Pyrenees on the French / Spanish border by the entrance to the Bielsa tunnel. Great area for riding :D

Yes, they are both strap on bags, but the FAMSA uses a seperate base cut to fit the R1150R which the bag zips to, and the Wolfman is a universal strap fix which is attached via speed clips.

Yes, they are GS items, they do need a little tweaking to fit the Rockster, but I belive they are an easier fit to the R1150R which has higher bars.

I just ordered this tank bag from Twisted Throttle. I like that it clips on to a mounting bracket on your gas tank and does not touch the paint at all. It expands from 5 to 7 litres. Great for short trips. (Sorry about the Honda....)
