hello,

hope you can help a brit with failing electrics.

i am a 97 r1100r owner.

when i switch on my head lights. the rev counter drops to a maximum of 2000 revs.
switch the lights off and the rev counter acts in the normal fashion.

i found the cause. one of the connections has a broken cable.

i am sad that no one posted a reply.

You just beat me to the answer

My quote on Electrics....

"Electricity is LAZY", meaning it looks for the shortest path

Handy to know when fault finding.
