I just got back from a 15 day trip from DC to Seattle and back to DC. Along the way I passed through Yellowstone, Badlands, Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Mt Rainier, and Arches National Parks. Also saw Rushmore and Crazy Horse as well many national forests and Bonneville Salt Flats.

I'll post some of the highlight photos here but I'm not going to post everything. I just don't have the time to do everything twice and I already posted them to flickr and did posts on my blog, twitter, etc. Suffice to say it was an amazing adventure that i will remember for the rest of my life and I couldn't pick a better bike to take me to all those amazing places. I met so many nice people and saw a lot of beautiful animals up close and personal.

The website I set up for the trip (michaelb1.com) has links to my flickr feed with all the pics as well as my twitter feed, blog, and videos.

Great pics and adventure. Did you honk in the Seattle I-90 tunnel?

Next time you come all the way to our coast, please drop by for a burger and beer. You can even pitch your tent out back.

$10 at Walmart. You can soak them in water when riding in the desert and your feet stay cool as the water evaporates. Easy on, easy off also.

I know, not the safest shoes for motorcycle riding.

The RR performed beautifully. One thing I noticed was all the different riding positions I could ease into. Normal riding position, put out the highway bars, put feet on heads, lean back against pack. kept me from getting uncomfortable.

The power is nice. Many times on a long straight desert highway I would be behind a line of trucks and RV's. I would downshift to 5, click on a blinker and the bright lights, and then gun it. It moves from 60 to 90+ in a heartbeat.

I have a Nikon D90 with 3 lens.

50mm f/1.8
18-55mm
55-200mm

The night pics were shot with the 50mm lens.

Dude!
you made it!

There is one shot of stars that I think you caught Andromeda?

I didn't know you were doing this on an r1200r. Good job.

Favorite roads? Weather?
How did your RevIt jacket treat you?

Did you use all those lenses? I found I used my 16-85 almost exclusively.

Tires...what did you start with and end up with?

Welcome back
John
