Do dealers trade seats?

I'm getting my R12R serviced and I sat on another R12R in the dealership with a low seat. MUCH more comfortable to me.
Is it out of the question to ask if they would trade me my seat for a used low?

I wouldn't think it's out of the question. When I bought my R1150R, it had the tan seat, which I asked them to trade for a black one. Of course, I was armed with the knowledge that another dealer had the same bike with the black seat. I told them 'I'd like to give you my business, but I want to get what I want too'.

yeah, I asked and they didn't go for it.
The guy said the low seats are in demand. Oh well.
He also said the low seat cramps your knees more.

Well, either look around to see if you find a low seat on a bike somewhere else. For me, with my 34" inseam, the low seat would be untenable. I had the low seat on my R1150R the other day and just sitting on it in the garage reminded me how much more comfy the higher Sargent is. My knees could not handle the low-seat for more than an hour or two.
