Emergency Op Mode symbol and Oil pressure light?

Guys, I have 2007 R1200R (Purchased late 2008 new) still under warranty and it seems to be running great and I just recently had the 600 mile service and have about 1500 miles on it. I just noticed that sometimes (it's not consistent) when I turn the key on and have the fuel switch on (Engine not started yet) that sometimes the symbol for Emergency Operation mode comes on. As soon as I start the bike it goes away and all seems ok (oil level is good by the way).

Update: I just compared it to my wifes 2009 F650GS computer and hers is the same (emergency op mode symbol, and I was wrong mine does come on and go off every time) with one exception with the fuel switch on my oil pressure light keeps flashing until I START THE BIKE, HERS GOES OUT???? Can anyone confirm their oil pressure light keeps flashing until you start the bike?

Thanks,

Dave

It should come on every time the ignition is cycled - all the lights come on so you can make sure the warning bulbs haven't burned out. Since you're under warranty..

Thanks Don, I new about the cycling of the lights but I guess I just never noticed that symbol so it caught me off guard. One thing I did notice is my oil pressure light keeps flashing once I turn the fuel switch on until I start the bike (My wifes 2009 f650GS does not do this), does you oil pressure light keep flashing until you start the bike?
