Transceiver antenna mount on R1200R

Hello, just like to know if anyone of you guys had a transceiver setup on your R1200. I like to get some idea on mounting the antenna. My radio set is the Yaesu FTM-10R, and the antenna is Diamond NR-760H. Thanks in advance.

I use an FTM-10R on my RR. I just used some aluminum stock from the local hardware store and attached it to the plastic part of the top case rack with a couple of screws. I ran a ground wire from the stock to the frame under the seat. Works fine and doesn't look bad with the topcase in place. I'm sure there are better solutions out there. You might try some of the other boards that have more hams on them.

This may be redundant, but use of a 1/2 wave antenna will improve performance as there is very little flat surface for counterpoise on the R12R.

I do use a half-wave antenna in answer to the other post. I run the FTM-10R with an Autocom, but would prefer to go to a directly wired headset. Have tried a couple and the noise cancelling properties are pretty poor. I have also tried a couple of bluetooth alternatives, but none seem to work well with the radio. The older Camos units did, but the new ones don't seem to work well.

Yeah, I built a couple of those last year and they work, but too many moving parts. My goal was to have just the FTM-10 and my Zumo on the bike. If there were a workable wired or bluetooth solution, there would be no need for the Autocom. I use the Autocom solution, and my wife who is a ham too has a Yaesu VX5R on her bike. Just wanted to simplify things.
