My bike has 5k of Mexican crud all over it! What is the best bike wash out there these days? I'll add that I'm rural and not anywhere near a dealer of any sorts. ?

Best wheel cleaner I've ever found, and I order 4 bottles at a time so I don't run out.....

Others will disagree, but Simple Green, straight, has been the best for me. I had the blacked out drivetrain and it did not fade or oxidize the paint as some will say. I sprayed the bike with water first, then sprayed a liberal amount of SG everywhere, let it set about two minutes, then rinsed it off. I think problems may ensue if you let the SG dry on the finish, which I never did.

I use Spray and Wash - the laundry prewash spray. Photo here: http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/78725/200.jpg

I have a selection of stiff nylon brushes from the hardware store, starting with a large-size lavvy-brush down to toothbrush. Wet the bike down, spray on the Spray and Wash and get on with the elbow grease. I haven't noticed any nasty stains left in the driveway when finished.

I only wash the bike once or twice a year, if that. I haven't dealt with Mexican crud, but I've had pretty good results with Pacific Northwest road-gunk.
