More Exhaust Noise

Don't know if anyone is interested in this but this looks like a good deal (IMHO) if anyone is interested in this type of muffler.

I know that it won't increase horse power and the weight saving is about equal to what I could save by not having the donut with my coffee in the morning, but it will let the bike sound like a motorcycle and still give me the option of putting the DB killer in if I want quiet.
Bad news for me is I didn't get the Visa bill for the Corbin seat yet and I couldn't pass this up. So I go into deficit spending, if it's OK for the government it should work for me. I hope I can convince the CFO (Wife) .

Probably a silly question, but why would you want a noisy BMW?

I guess I could have used the word 'sound' instead of 'noise' as there is a difference. I was raised on Brit twins (back when you could buy them new) running Bates Megaphones and then went on to Guzzis usually with Bub exhaust. I have a /5 with a two into one that I'll admit might be too loud. The biggest drawback to buying the R was, for me, the wimpy exhaust note.
So - what I'm looking for is to raise the DBs to where the bike sounds like it has a 100+HP motor in it (but still legal) and to deepen the tone. I'm not looking to break store windows as I ride by or wake every one in the neighborhood, but just to let the bike sound like a motorcycle. I'm not a "Loud Pipes Save Lives' nut.
Maybe when I become more mature I'll put the stock muffler back on.
I would imagine that increasing the noise level a little won't be as annoying to the general population as running with an illegal headlight bulb or off road only running lights blinding the oncoming traffic or as harmful to the environment as removing the charcoal canister that comes on the bike
.
BTW: The muffler is on but due to the weather I haven't had it on the road. Out of the box and on the bike was twenty minutes. With the DB killer in it sounds almost the same as stock and with it out it may be too loud, so I'll be modifying (IE:more holes) the Db killer and leaving it in.
