I see you don't have a location posted, but i see sunshine behind the new shield. Are those big vents going to let rain pass right through to those of us who experience a lot of the stuff ? Just wondered. I had pretty much decided to buy the Cee Baileys screen once I've recovered from the latest employment outage.

Windshields with holes to equalize pressure might become the next big thing. Clearview, at http://www.clearviewshields.com/ make one with a vent, but not for the R1500R or the R1150R.

Unless there's something here I don't see, a lot of rain and cold could come through those holes. I saw an interesting fix for the negative pressure done by Ricardo Kuhn on a GS shield. He cut two small NACA ducts in the lower part of the screen. This always seemed like a neat solution.

I found this in support of the above mentioned vents, this guy shows how he did it on a GS, and what the results were. I wonder if this will work with the touring shield? I'm betting it will.

Judging by the e-mail address he left at the bottom of his post, [email protected], I'm thinking he is an employee.

My two part MRA screen has a de facto duct between the two bits. Presumably to minimise any pressure difference.
Not quite big enough to get my hand in there to clean off the odd bug that gets suicidal.Does prevent any rain coming through.
Not sure that actually having holes in the lexan is a good idea in wet conditions.

I don't know. I've been frequenting this board for 5 years now, and can't remember the "flood doors" open.

This resulted in the posting of some good information on an important topic. If anyone was truly offended, they can hit the "Report This Post Button." on top of the page.

I haven't read the "Terms of Use" for this board in a while, but I don't recall reading any vendor exclusions. If there are, then the appropriate actions should be taken.

The dude didn't exactly try to hide his identity.

I am not offended. But, there are provisions for vendors to pay for ads here.

I, and many others would support the hawking of surplus personal goods relating to the core of this forum however I think there is a clear line here between personal goods and using this forum as a platform for commercial gain.

I maintain my position and urge the moderators to stop this kind of advertising

Thanks for the links. I just ordered some new disks for my Dremmel. I'm thinking of trying it my Parabellum.

I can get a couple of hoses and route the air to my air cleaner box to pick up a few extra HP.......or not.

Those NACA ducts are designed to extract air from a flow parallel or nearly parallel to a surface. These applications are not really relevant -- even if the interior of the duct were executed properly, (and these are not.) Might as well cut holes to taste, or for design reasons.
