Hey guys, my bike's yellow oil indicator light just went on the other day. I checked the oil level and it was in the middle of the sight glass after a warm up ride and waiting 20 minutes. So there seems to be oil. What kind of sensor do our bikes have for the oil light to go on even if there is sufficient oil?

The yellow light is the low fuel level light, the oil pressure light is red, and should go out when you raise the rpm's to pull away. If it is the yellow light that is on, filling the tank should fix it. If not then you have to look deeper.

Sorry, my mistake. The light is infact bright red. It is the oil indicator light. But I have enough oil. Do our bikes have an oil pump with a sensor?

The wire to the sender may be grounded,or the sending unit may be bad, that would make the light come on. If you been riding the bike with the oil light on and the motor ant blowed up thats what is going on.

OK, the problem as that the oil sensor washer was leaking. Had to get a new unit put in.
