Hello all, Does anyone have any experience with the Vario levers? How do they feel, do they maintain adjustment, etc? Chi, have you had good luck with yours? Any comments etc are always welcome. Thanks...

I had them on my F800S & K1200R
Top class product.

I have quite small hands (size 7 in the BMW glove), so reaching for the clutch/brake levers on the K12R was impossible (and downright dangerous)
The Vario levers solved all the problems & they are 100% adjustable. I would let a BMW technician install them, though.

I have not bought them for the R12R yet - as i find the stock levers just fine.

My stock levers work just fine too but I'd still like to have the Vario Levers.

They have increased my overall comfort when riding long days because of the adjustability and perfect fit.
The Vario's do hold the settings just fine, never a change I didn't make. I have my brake lever set up for 2 finger, with the clutch lever fully extended to use 4 fingers.
The high quality (bling) look and feel makes you feel slightly better about how much you paid for them, but the reduced hand fatigue after riding a full day makes it worth to me.
I also thought the instructions were clear and the install was easy.

I bought my Vario levers from someone off this forum who could not use them on his new RT.

For someone who is neither mechanically inclined or patient (me), I was able to install them in less than 30 minutes.

I have relatively short fingers and love the flexibility and adjustibility of the Vario levers. They really do reduce fatigue. Like Chitown, my brake lever is adjusted for 2 fingers and the clutch for 4, or maybe 3. Works great. They also look nice too.

We had the Vario on the GT and have moved them to the GS when my wife sold her GT. Since then my wife found these handles on EBay called Pazzo levers and I really like the way they look and feel. We put them on her R. You can't adjust the end of them like the Vario, but they are only $179 instead of $270. Solid and also available in a variety of colors.

Perhaps not the ideal solution for small hands (yes, that is perverse). I put on the vario brake lever - and took it off after a few thousand clcks (slang for kilometres).

The large block you can see at the inside end of the lever tended to catch my right index finger. I couldn't get my hand to sit correctly on the bar because my index finger either had to live "under" the lever - so either
(a) my index finger got squeezed becasue this forced me to do 3-fingered braking (not the best safety option), or
(b) had to rest awkwardly on that large block if braking was imiment, making throttle control less precise.

Pity - it was so very nicely made ... but the original lever works fine - without those problems, so I'm happy. If you look at teh OEM lever, its bend leaves a gap at the inside end. This is where my index finger lives until I need it for four-fingered braking.

I've seen the Pazzios on Ebay. I'm happy to hear a good report on them. Caroanbill do you want to sell yours?
