Again on seat

Hello,

I'm looking for a seat more confy than the original BMW. I red a lot of topics about Sergeant or Rick Meyers or other.
My question is: do I have to send the seat to them or there is someone that can provide a complete seat (shell also)?
As I'm in Italy it won't be an easy task to ship the seat ($$) unless buying another seat ($$) (maybe on e-bay).
Thanks
Luca

You can always go with Corbin. But their pan may OR MAY NOT fit your bike perfectly.
I had a corbin for my R1200RT. It was stiff to install at first - but worked well once i learned how to click it into place properly and the mechanism loosened up.

There are many people that had bad experiences with corbin - including a few people on this board. But personally, i was satisfied with their customer service and product quality.

I also had a Corbin. Quailty was very good and so was customer service. But overall the Rick Mayer seat I had built is much more comfortable and sold the Corbin. I will say though that it was more trouble getting the Mayer seat done and if I lived outside the USA it would have been a real bitch. I had to send the seat back twice once for a materials issue, Mayer paid shipping round trip on that, and a second time for and adjustment I paid for that (ouch) if I was the OP I think I'd wait on a Sargent.
