The general importer is BMW of North America LLC, 300 Chestnut Ridge Rd, Woodcliff Lake NJ 07675. If you are looking for an independent certified importer to import a non-conforming bike and bring it into compliance with US requirements, this snippet from
http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com might help: "The EPA can be contacted at 202-564-9660. You can call the DOT at 202-366-4000. They can assist you in identifying an ICI and RI near the port of entry you intend to import the vehicle into the United States."

Thanks guys. I just want to drop them a note and see if they will help with the cost of my premature driveshaft failure.
