My wife and I have been threatening to buy a pop up camper for years. Last week we found a really clean one for a meager $1500, so we bought it. The wife is already planning multiple camping trips, and suddenly I feel like a deer in the headlights. Is this going to interfere with my weekend rides? Say it aint so! Anyway's, I got to thinking I could put the bike in the back of the truck and take it with me. This means I have to add a chock and tie downs to the truck bed, and I have to figure out how to carry the fold up ramp. Also I am sure the tailgate will not close with my bike in the 6 1/2 foot bed.

Any advice or experience appreciated. Can I tow a camper with the tail gate down? or will the tail gate and camper interfere with each other in turns?

BMWs belong on the road, not in a pickup bed. Here are some suggestions:
1. Wife drives the truck, you take the scenic route & meet her at camp
2. Pick up a couple of dirt bikes and throw them in the truck
3. Separate vacations?

Can the bike fit in the cab at an angle so you can keep the tailgate up? Put the front tire in one of the front corners and slide the rear over to a diagonal. Strap it in properly and you're good to go.
