Ilmberger CF Hugger Installation?

Can someone who has installed the Ilmberger CF Hugger on a R12R tell me exactly what is involved?

Just remove the read brake caliper and remove the rear wheel and follow the instructions. It's pretty straight forward.

As above, and use the longer bolts supplied to install. I have ESA and had to route the wire on the shock cover a little differently (also trimmed the guard with a Dremmel for clearance) and reverse the speed sensor wire clip to keep it clear. You'll see as you go.

I don't recall any reason to remove the rear caliper. You do need the longer case bolts for the rear-drive (they should come with it) - and you have to move the wire for the speed/ABS sensor out of the way of the bracket. The rear wheel does have to be removed.
All in all - on a difficulty scale of 1-10, about 3.

I found that getting the rear wheel off was made much easier by removing the rear caliper.

The caliper stays over the brake rotor which stays with the rear drive.
All I've ever done to R&R the rear wheel is move the exhaust out of the way, then remove the 5 bolts holding the wheel on. Then pull the wheel to the left and it's off.
I'm totally confused how this would make things easier.. please elucidate (or photos..)

I installed one. Just move the exhaust out of the way, remove the rear wheel, and bolt it on. With all the rear hub controversy, be sure to use a torque wrench on the bolts.
The only snag is if you have ESA, then the front edge of the hugger will interfere with the plastic shroud on the rear shock. I used a Dremel and made a nice straight cut on the shroud to provide clearance. If anyone needs pix, I can snap some when I get home.

I removed the two bolts holding on the brake caliper and then removed the wheel without loosening the exhaust. Take your pick of easy ways I suppose.
I thought the two brake bolts were easier to get to than the clamp on the exhaust as they are right before your eyes sitting in a mechanics stool.
