Oil cooler heat question

Is there noticeably less heat when riding in hot weather on the 1200R as compared to the 1150R due to the oil cooler being placed much lower??
By noticably less heat, do you mean less heat as felt by the rider size the air warmed up by the oil cooler doesn't flow back to the driver?
If so, I don't think it's noticable. When I had my R850R the oil cooler pods never seemed to give up much heat.
