Premise: I don't own a Rockster, but need to know how the headlights work.

Why? I'm using a Rockster headlight assembly on another bike.

The question: when you turn on the high beam on the Rockster, does the low beam go out?

Nope, it stays on. Both beams are lit when the high is on. Nice conversion by the way. Any more pics?

What is it - an R1200C with a Rockster front end?? What else have you done? - obviously a custom exhaust system...

I suspected as much, thanks very much for the confirmation. The original chassis harness used a single 2-filament bulb and switched filaments between high and low.

Great conversion......I just have three questions

1) Were the front end slides anodized?
2) Who bent and fabricated that nice ensemble of stainless pipes. Is it 321 SS? or 309 SS
3) Where did the tailight come from

The blue paint application is great....enjoy it.

1) Originally, yes, they were anodized blue. At first, I wanted to leave them that way... but then something spilled on them in storage, might have been brake fluid, and damaged a large portion of it. In hindsight, matching them with the BMW automotive Avus Blau paint to the rest of the bike gave a better result. Avus Blau is the best BMW color ever. Any other color is simply a primer, awaiting application of Avus. The only thing close is BMW motorcycle Konigsblau as on the K1.



2) The frame modifications and exhaust were done locally here in Hillsborough, NJ by Tri-County Choppers. Unfortunately, they've moved and I can't find where they've gone. I think the exhaust was done in 321, but am not 100% sure... I spec'd that out two years ago misplaced my notes! The tubing is all metric to match the original header pipe size. 3) Taillight is originally from the K1200RS, pic here: http://www.p3lights.com/K1200RS.jpg You can also see the assembly as I originally purchased it: http://www.robertlevinson.com/Project_C ... g_6944.jpg I designed the new rear housing to match the curves and concave design of the gas tank.
