1200R in White

I was told by my Military Sales rep here in Germany that the RR would be available in white.

I just happened to be at the BMW Motorrad days in Garmish and lo and behold

http://moxnix.smugmug.com/gallery/41194 ... 0900_L6rCk

This is my next bike- off goes the XCountry and the K100.

In an homage to ChiTown, I'm going to powdercoat the wheels black.

That is one fine looking bike.. and black wheels will eliminate the brake-dust problem.

Now, if they offered black pinstripes, it might be almost as fast as the black w/white pinstripes one..

That looks fabulous - love it.

White is making a comeback (in the UK at least) after falling from favour - there's lot of other 'cool stuff' like iPods, Xbox 360, BMW M3 and Audi R8 in white too. I've posted this one-off with the Wudo fairing before, from the Milan show 2006 last I think:

Like the White. Love the Wudo.

Have any members of this board installed the Wudo fairing pictured above? I would like to see more R1200R/Wudo pic's. Please post R1200R/Wudo pics.

tks.

Cool bike. I hope you post some photos when you're done with the powdercoating.

I envy you being in Garmisch. I spent my "war years" in Bad Tölz, and have missed Bavaria ever since.

I tried to order one of those Wudo Fairings from our good friend Nip Norman, but he said he couldn't send to the US because we already have an importer. I wonder who it is.. :?

Let me know if you find out who it is. I want one badly.

I spent some time with the Special Forces guys at Tolz before they moved to Stuttgart.. What a glorious place to be assigned. I also spent some time at the German airborne school at Aldenstadt.. I honestly believe Bavaria is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the planet.

I love the white R... shows the lines well.
I also like the blue one, especially the white stripe design. Is it me or does that rear end ( above the tail light) look different?

I sure wish one of you guys would buy the Wudo fairing... would love to see some detailed pictures, hard to believe Wudo doesn't have some on their site. I would also like to know who is the US dealer, you can buy direct from Wudo, that I know. Hey CW_Bang, if you want the email contact, or web address to order, let me know or look for the Wudo thread thats been around here for over a year.

I think you'd be paying homage to ziobatto, I'm the opposite guy

What kind of exhaust pipe is on that blue bike? Also the headlight bracket looks different although it may just be the angle I'm seeing it at.

As for the exhaust, I am guessing Akropovic (sp?) I will ask Uwe in K-town, the blue is long since sold.

I must apologize to the Wudo-wanters, at the Motorrad days there was a Wudo booth and I didn't stop to grab literature or take pics.

I can ship USPS if that will make up for it...

Chris, Out of curiosity, and when you get time, see what it would cost to purchase and ship a Wudo fairing to North Carolina code 28314. You could be the solution to our not being able to get our hands on a Wudo fairing on this side of the pond.

Thanks,
Chris in NC

I thought we could order direct - has something changed?
Keep in mind that if we order with Wuedo they don't have to (should not) charge us VAT, whereas VAT is applicable if a person in Germany buys it. At 17% and with today's $/€ exchange rates that is a good amount of dough.

I wood like to e-mail Wudo and see if there really is a U.S. importer, but can't find an english conversion on their web-site, and don't understand any of it, so it would be hard to order direct. ( At least for me ). Any ideas?? :?

When I checked their website this am, there was no US Importer listed yet.
When you go to their homepage, click on the British flag to get to the English site.
Once there (http://www.wuedo.de/indexeng.htm) you'll find a contact Wuedo button on the left.

Hello ChiTown,

thank you very much for your order.
Our dingle fairing for the R 1200 R will be ready soon. Then we will
also have the price. We will inform you at once when it will be ready
for shipping. Then you could decide if we should send it. We will take
your order as a reservation so far, so that you will be among the first
customers who will get the fairing then.

With best regards

We should have ordered back then.
If their price stayed the same, €343 at today's exchange rates would be $535 plus S&H :(

Would some one who has ordered from Europe care to take a guess as to what the shipping might be?
