Visiting Australia

My favorite riding partner (Judie) and I will be visiting Brisbane in June. Is there anyone on the list who lives in Brisbane? I will be working for one of the two weeks we will be there, but we have over a week to look around the city.
Could you suggest so me good tourist things to do? Also, is there any place to rent a bike? I lived in Australia (NSW) for two years in 1985 and I visited Brisbane last May, so I do know the area a bit, and the rules of the road.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

There are several members of this forum from that area and I'm sure if you contact them they will, time permiting, help you both out with your plans. You might even, if that is an option, rent a BMW and enjoy the scenery.
I suggest you look at the member list and maybe do search......good luck and enjoy......

Exchange the US dollars to Australian dollars ASAP.
My daughter is in Brisbane now for the next 6 months.
I was ready to buy an Australian money last year in November at very good rate .
This year in February I got an exchange 1:1
P.S. Let us know how does it feel to drive on the wrong side of the street.
Good luck.

North of Brisbane... Noosa heads rated highly
South of Brisbane... Gold Coast & theme parks Wet n wild, Dreamworld, Movieworld,
high rise, busy, but great beaches like Miami but better beaches than Honolulu (no rocks)
East Of Brisbane Charleville regarded as an Outback town where the Royal flying doctor service is located
