There are various types on ebay. I have just ordered a long strip type to go on my top case. Cost about $20

keep looking; it is an attention getter. I have had compliments on mine from hard core Harley types.

thanks for all the feedback. unfortunately, i've tried all the sources providedk, as well as a few others, and everyone is sold out. does anyone have any other leads, to include your local shops/dealers, that i could call? thanks in advance.

Here is another option. It's halogen though, not LED, but same function, i.e. it flashes several times before remaining on. Very easy to install, just plugs in like a regular bulb.

I have one. I bought it for my 04 GT. Bike got totalled, but I pulled the brake light. I have the LED, nylon spacers, original instructions and itty bitty long screws that brace it. I tried to install it on my 04 RT, but the brake light hole is to small to fit it in there. New price was $120, yours for $75? And yes, it is hella bright! I have videos of me in the Alps with the GT, and just the lightest touch sets it to flashing.

Call Morton's BMW 540-891-9844 ask for parts - either Seth, Pat or Patricia. They might have some in stock still.

Try Capitol BMW, Raleigh, NC 919-834-5111 - either Todd or Chelsea. They had some few left (don't remember models) and told me the company has gone completely out of communication.

Hyperlights are almost as good but BRAKE! LED is the top banana.

I suspect the folks that make the Brake! LED Taillight
Conversions (a Canadian company) may be out of business.

...which is a shame. It's an excellent product. I have their LED'S on two bikes and was looking for a third.

JB, I had that same problem contacting them. Seemed to be a few dead links. I finally got their Canadian number, and someone on the other end answered the phone. I explained that I needed a new set of the thin bolts and plastic spacers. I offered to paypal them a fiver, but they declined and sent me the parts for free! Its just sitting in my desk drawer. I can either trim the brake light housing to get it inside(the GT, I bought it for had little slots that allowed the LED to be inserted, then pulled back into place. The RT doesn't have it. If I can't sell it, I might give the small trim job a go. Although I say that knowing that my next 4 weekends will be spent getting thru the Rider Coach program near Sacramento.

Jimbobvfr, post or PM me their number if you still have it. I would still like to get another one of their conversion kits.

I just got off the phone with South Sound BMW. I may have just bought the last one in the country, but it's worth a call to see if they have any left. San Jose BMW shows they have them on the web site. I didn't try to order one though as I looked close to home first. The Gismo people that made the thing are indeed out of business, South Sound told me. There is also a possibility that the light won't work with CAN/BUS bikes.

It's worth trying to find one. I put mine in last night and was really impressed with the light it makes. I had a little trouble getting the little mount screws started until I decided to pinch the plastic spacers a bit so they'd stay on the mount screws while I jiggled the light around in the lens assembly. If you can't find the Brake! light, BMW still sells the light bar that fits under the license plate. That's also a nice design.

Another member pm'd me about his Brake!. Hope it will fit, it's not for a BMW.

Just guessing, but that may have been the Brake's downfall, trying to make a custom fit for so many different taillights instead of a "universal" fit.

The one I've got is a BK0104. It's for the R1150R, K1200RS, and the K1200GT. If jimbobvfr still has his GT light it's probably the right one for the RR. It does not plug into the 1157 socket like the picture on the box suggests. The bulb socket is modular. It locks into the lens assembly, but has a three wires plugged into the back of it. I pulled the wires off and pitched the bulb socket in the tool box. You weasel the LED into the lens assembly. I do mean weasel as, it's a tight fit. The connector part is a round circuit board-like disk that covers that hole the socket left in the back of the lens. Two screws with spacers go through that disk into the LED circuit board. It is difficult to start those screws. You can set the flash for 1, 1.5, or 2 seconds duration. I set mine in the middle and later decided I'd like 2 seconds, but didn't want to jack with those screws again.
I'm pretty impressed with it. It's probably double the brightness of the stock light, and the flashing really gets you noticed in traffic.
I also installed the Phillips Vision plus H4 today and there absolutely no question that it's brighter then the stock H4.
Keep looking for the Brake! it's worth the trouble.
Did you try San Jose BMW ? They still show that they have the BK0104 in stock.
