..for all the snowed in bikers. The bike runs great. Its a shame this is only the third time this year I have rode it. I wear a glow yellow tee shirt so I'm seen. I was talking to H-D rider with a glow yellow tee shirt and I asked him if he thought it help much. He said he knew it did because he was leading a group ride one day and a truck pulled out behind him and cause his son to hit the truck. The pickup truck driver said he saw the first biker with the glow yellow shirt but didn't see the other ten bikers behind him! Go figure. Dark bikes and dark clothes will get you sooner or later. You cant ride looking like a shadow and expect to be seen by everyone dialing a cell phone I guess. I cant help but feel stupid riding with that yellow shirt on. The reason I haven't ridden more is my blood pressure pills makes me feel a little "buzzed" if you know what I mean.

Yes winter sucks! I won't get to ride for 4 1/2 months. It's not fair.
Where is global warming when you need it?? I do want to get a yellow Olympia airglide jacket for next year. Getting hit buy a truck would not be fun.

Interesting...But many riders that wear bright day glow have also been hit and the drivers that hit them have said that they did not see them.

I wear a black helmet and black jacket (most of the time)..and ride a black bike..and ride like the car and truck drivers can't see me.

I think riding with bright colors can give you a false sense of security.

But then..I'm sure riding with bright colors must lower the odds of being hit..slightly..especially at night...Ride safe everyone.

This is the jacket that I choose to wear when riding at night...Bright or what.. ..I feel a bit like a clown.. ..but I still don't trust them.

Might wanna think about wearing a bright colored jacket instead of just a tee. That tee is not gonna offer you ANY protection in the unfortunate event that you are not seen. Just my 2cents Be safe

Yes, this weather really SUCKS!

My riding jacket has reflective piping on it that shows well in the dark. My solid color pearl white Shoei helmet and twin 55Watt driving lites under the coolers prevent even distant vehicles from pulling out into my path.

About the weather . . . . we had a sunny day record high equal to 32 years ago at 75F (23.9C). Pretty nice for December 11th. I spent the day working on my neighbors Polaris Ranger 4X4. It was SO VERY VERY messed up!! Engine, brakes, axel & lug nuts, battery, carb . . . . etc.

Global warming (Man made) is a fools hoax for fools to believe, but, you already know that.

Uh oh.

Hillbillie, you must be on clonidine too. Makes me light-headed, so I don't take it prior to a ride.

Cycle rob is quite right. Most of the claims in the media are simply picked up by wire services. If the globe is warming, then why are there areas in Antarctica where the ice pack is getting thicker.

And did you know that the probable reason the glacier on Kiliminjaro is melting is because the surrounding forests are being cut down for firewood, so the moisture content in the surrounding atmosphere is less. No moisture, no ice formation. Temperatures haven't varied significantly

None of this is to say we should not be very concerned about emissions, and taking care of our planet. We should. What we need to do as a population is make decisions based on science, not politicians and actors mouthing slogans.

Darn it!! I was looking forward to planting a palm tree in my back yard and going for a nice bike ride next week. I guess I'll get the snow blower ready for the nasty blizzard headed our way for this week end.

More and more scientists are having the courage to speak up about it and if one cares to seek out the articles, there is plenty of evidence the whole thing is drastically blown out of proportion.

I don't think anyone will dispute that the temp fluctuates on this planet. The arguments start with trying to say it's anthropogenic.

Still, I try to do my part. I always leave the refrigerator door open a few extra seconds when I get a beer.

I hear that his mansion uses three time the electricity of a normal size home. Talks the talk, but not walking the walk.
