A ding!

I have a ding on my Rockster. Looks fairly easy to un-ding but how do u guys do it? I don't buy that "you have to order a new gas tank and it'll cost ya 900 bucks" crap.
Anyway, the description of the ding: Small, about size in 2" in diameter, depth should be about 3 or 4mm deep, not deep at all. There are no hard edge.
Methods tried: Ding King - crap, Dry Ice Method - doesn't work but it was cold outside, need to get a gas tank really warm, I could get a blow dryer, the kind you find at hardware store, really hot blowing machine to heat up that spot on the gas tank still I want to know another method. Magnet - didn't work, I guess I got weak magnets, maybe would need a powerful one but cannot find that. That's all I tried, any ideas?
Location of ding: on left side, near the area where my left leg's thigh part rest, not on edge but above. Close to the and above the last bronze sticker on left side of Rockster's gas tank.
