Has anyone tried the Laser exhaust?

Hi all,
I'm now seriously considering the Laser Hotcam for my R12R. I've used Remus exhaust in the past.
Any photos of the installed pipe and how does it sound compared to stock? Don't want it much louder for the neighbor's sake.
Thanks

Hi all,
I did a search on Laser exhausts as Im interested in looking at the Laser 'Hot Cam' or the 'Duo tech' pipe. I found this post from 2007, but with no replies as yet.
Maybe 2 years later someone has purchased a Laser exhaust and is able to give some feedback? Is it easy to fit, what is the sound like, does it fit with OEM panniers, etc.
Basically, Im looking for a good pipe with a nice sound that will fit with the panniers, but Im not really keen on paying the full $800 for the Akra pipe.
Many thanks and safe riding.
Jed.

I bought the polished aluminum duo-tech model ($390) about two months ago and really like it. It comes complete with the mid-pipe and all hardware including two baffle inserts; one for quiet, and one for loud. The muffler fit perfectly with no bending, banging, or cussing. The muffler clamp was cheesy, so I used the stock bmw one.
With the quiet baffle in, it's just slightly louder than stock with a deeper tone. Never tryed the loud baffle. I don't notice any difference in performance, but I woodn't anyways. I think the bike vibrates just slightly more.
Of the three aftermarket mufflers I've tryed on the R12, I like this one the best. Their all a total waste of money, but that seems to be what I do best. I also love my Wunderlich fairing, but that's another story.

I have the Ti Laser Hot Cam on for 18 months. Sound is ok (baffle out) for what I need, I have Remus headers which I had silver ceramic coated at the time of install. The ceramic is just starting to pit from front wheel debri, but still looks better than the brown would. If that black pipe was available back then I would have got it and had the headers done in black too, I think the above posted pipe is cool.
The Hot Cam fitment was ok but the Remus headers were ordinary in fit near the swingarm. I suspect that it was just the set I got though as nobody else has complained about theirs.
Hope you enjoy yours.
Regards Mick.

Hey Mickyt.
Where abouts in QLD are you mate? Im in Brissie, not too far from the city. If you're not far away, Id be pretty keen to have a look/listen to your pipe as the Carbon Hot Cam is the pipe that I think Im gonna go for. Dont want to be any trouble though. No dramas if your not available. Cheers mate.
Thanks to all others that posted replies too. Jed.

On the exhaust I would stay away from anything carbon-fibre like on the Laser or Remus.
Why?Later in life it will get brittle and crack from vibration and heat and doesn't look so pretty anymore...
