Recently the heated grips on my 2000 R1100RT have only been working on the low setting. Thinking that the problem is related to the switch, I have pulled the switch. The switch has 3 wires, black, orange and green with a black stripe. In one position I have continuity between the green with black stripe and the orange and in the other position I have continuity between the green with black stripe and the black wire. Am I checking this correctly? I am thinking from these results that the switch is fine. Any suggestions on trouble shooting this problem. Thanks in advance.

the switch seems ok
G/day the wiring diagram seems to surport your findings. Both the orange & the black are conected to the green/blue when "Hi" is selected. Power comes down the green/blue, is VDC present in the cther two when "Hi" is on? good luck
