Thought I'd post a photo of the mustard fields that paint the vineyards of Napa Valley this time of the year. This photo was taken a week ago when we had a warm spell with temperatures in the upper 70's and low 80's! Right now it's raining

but it sure beats snow!

Well Patrick, you made me look it up...Thanks!...interesting story.
"The bright yellow flowers are said to have originated in California when Father Juniper Serra made his first exploratory trip north through the state scattering mustard seeds as he went. His return trip the following spring was then guided by a path of blooming mustard."

Taosport, Great Pic. The "R" sure makes those flowers look nice, I am going to have to read the story about how they came to be.BTW, That looks like a nice size tank bag, most I've used are too bulky, What size and brand is it?

Den,
Thanks. Like you, I prefer a small tank bag. This one carries just what I need. Info on the tank bag can be found here :

Ed,
On my rides, I'm currently using a 3 year old Canon Powershot S40. It's a 4 megapixel camera with a 3X optical zoom.
But it's not so much the camera but the time of day I like to shoot. Usually early or late in the day when the sun is low. Brings out the colors, contrast, shadows, etc. in the photos.
PICs to remember
