Now that I've rested up some, I've been putting it all together today. Really not a whole lot of pictures to use. I just didn't have much time to stop and take photos along the way...Or for some reason the light was bad when I DID have the time.
I have prepared one of my slideshows, but I just have to say, it was a real treat to meet Kirk (Iowabeakster) and have lunch together. He made it very easy to locate my second campsite near North Liberty, IA, pretty close to the big slab I-380.
I swear some of the corn I saw had to be 8 feet tall if it was an inch! And the tractors!! WOW! Those tractor drivers aren't scared to pull out there on the road either.
I didn't see many deer except at the parks. I'm happy to report that. There were a few dead ones laying about, but they didn't bother me at all.
The bike is getting tired. I can sense the need coming on for maybe a rear drive bearing replacement....or possibly even a clutch soon. Nothing wrong. I just worry at 68,000+ miles.

There are also 'captions' to explain things a bit but you have to click 'captions' for them to show. I visited the Grant Wood home and studio in Cedar Rapids where he lived for 10 years in the small upstairs apartment with his mother and sister.
I also went to Eldon and saw the original American Gothic house there. While I was there Thursday morning I went across the street from the restuarant and took a short tour of the Eldon Opera house that's being renovated.
Up through TN, KY, ILL. to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and back. 3 nights camping. Today I logged 547miles getting back to Georgia from Illinois. Boy is my butt sore.
