I am new to the board, so hello to everyone. I am glad to have found a place to discuss the R1200R, which is a fantastically fun bike. I know, I am preaching to the choir.
I got my black with white pin-stripes bike last November, and have about 3400 miles on it so far.
I really like the naked bike. Here in Sacramento it gets stupid hot in the summer and sitting behind a fairing sucks ( the little flyscreen on it barely qualifies as a windshield).
I am looking forward to sharing info and getting other impressions.
While on the subject, I just bought a set of Moto Lites for it, and have yet to open the box and look at the wiring, so if anyone has done this, any info is appreciated.

Thanks! I got the one that uses a caliper bolt. I hope it is the right one since I got it from Raffy and he had it in stock. He says the caliper models are the same so if it is not so, I am sure he will adjust it for me.ka5ysy wrote:Welcome Dan !

BTW: The sport screen is actually to keep bugs off the back of the instrument cluster

Welcome - I am also a new R12R rider - also in Sacramento, North Side (Roseville) . I'm sure we can get some meetups going in this area for other riders.
I plan on getting the Motolights one of these days as well. Regarding the electrical setup for these, when I was asking the dealer about them (A&S Cycles) the parts guy mentioned a way to wire into one of the existing controls that was easy to switch (this was dealer doing the wiring, don't know the cost, but if you talk to them maybe they can give you a good clue on best way to do)

Nice to meet you.
I am in the River City Beemers and go for Breakfast most Saturday AM's around 7:30ish at the Western Coffee Pot, followed by donuts and coffee at A & S BMW.
I will likely be there this Saturday so stop by. But I might not be on the R1200R so don't only look for the bike.
