I have an Edition 80 Rockster and I am a little unsure about the year. According to the plate on the steering stem it is a 2003. But most of the info I have read leads me to believe that they were 2004's. Please help me! I am also under the impression that 2003 were built and just 203 were brought into the USA. Does this also include Canada or did Canada only get so many as well?

They were manufactured in 2003 (and thus got the 2003 stamp), but as I understand it, actually sold in 2004.

Moose,
For U.S. model years, the DOT has strict rules. Essentially, BMW produced after June of the prior year get the next year's model designation.

Canadian bikes were listed as 2003 models (depending on their production date), but all US models seem to be listed as 2004 models.
