Camshafts and High Comp Pistons

Does anyone have experience with performance camshafts or switching the stock ones for RT/RS cams. How about high comp pistons? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've seen what the following list can do to a GS - turn it into a bona fide rocketship!
RT cams
RT inlet manifold
K1200RS fuel pressure management box
polished head
Laser system + chip
Met a bloke with the above mentioned (and probably a few more things done) on his 1150GS and it was about 20 -30 mph quicker on the flat than my Rockster, I was solo, he had a LARGE pillion on board!

High pressure pistons are available from San Jose BMW and they aren't cheap (close to $400 per piston).
It's on my to-do list but not too high on it. Maybe next year I'll figure out how to hotrod the Rock some more - intake snorkel, cam, pistons, valves. Maybe even turbo.

The boxer is a pretty sturdy engine, the easiest way to increase HP is via turbocharging. Since the compression is already on the high side, I don't see being able to run anymore than 5 o 6 pounds boost.
With 6 pounds of boost the engine should produce, including losses, produce around 115-120 hp at the crank, or about 95-100 hp at the rear wheel.
This HP level would be about the same as that of an R1200R, however the turbo bike will have gobs of torque down low and that will make it significantly quicker off the line.......the engine will take the boost, you would have to be extremely carefull with the clutch, a kevlar unit with a matching pressure plate will definitely be in the future.
The cost will be significantly less than the price of a new R1220R..

How/where do we get the Turbo unit?

Sorry for the delay, RB Racing has been working on one for awhile now.
However Chris Hodgson of SJBMW (San Jose BMW) had a kit for an R1100S that they sold through the dealership. Another potential supplier is Mr. Turbo, although they primarily deal with Suzukis and Kawas.
