Thought I’ll do a fresh post…
For me, after buying my new non R1150 boxer and trying aR9T I’m building a ‘touring’ version in the style of OEM this year and I’ll test it later on in summer, also I’ll be sticking to the UK this year for now. Eric

Getting back into riding not regularly for me. Last 2 years i haven't had the bike I've an easy to access location, now it's right here and just needs riding!

The last two years have been pretty rotten with the restrictions and all.. Hopefully we'll have an all clear by spring and we can do some riding.
Last year I barely broke 10,000 miles, lowest mileage in decades.

at 10,000 that’s mega miles for a rider if you were in the uk. Even I wish I had the time to sit on a bike that long!! Lucky😉

I used to do 25-30,000 a year. About 20-23K was commuting, the rest leisure, and it wasn't all day riding, but just an hour or two 'most' weekends.

I'm hoping to get 2 weeklong trips in this years, and some long weekends. I usually get 7000-9000 miles in a year, but it's almost all leisure. Don't want to ride to work when I get a free vehicle for my job. At least one of the longer trips will be out west to Colorado.

Not really. It's a shame more people don't ride mileages like that - we might actually generate enough demand for bikes that aren't made like toys.

( I was about to say 'made like Tonka toys', but then I remembered that Tonka toys are probably the only things that will be left circling the Milky Way long after this planet has succumbed to a fiery death).

Well that’s a humble comment and very true. The current models on offer mostly dont even come with rear mudguards now and it’s such a shame. Most people I come across can’t make things like that and what’s out there are flimsy huggers that achieve nothing but make your wallet lighter. I remember when seventies bikers fixed everything that went wrong with a bike, a lot were engineers or people that worked on the tools but today’s ‘average’ biker can only just be able to clean their machine after an hour on a forum asking which cleaner to use or not to use!
