So everyone knows how we are choosing the winner, I am pasting this note from Mike to me:

"When the raffle closes, you do not have to send me a list of entries or names or random numbers. All you have to do is tell me How Many entries there are. Not names, just total entries. Based on the random number list I already sent you, if they are entered against those random numbers from top to bottom, I can simply generate a new random list of numbers to send back to you based on the total and the corresponding RN from my duplicate list of numbers."

Its a little confusing, I know, but what this basically means is that there are multiple levels of randomness inherent in the selection process, and Mike doesnt know who the #'s I send to him are coorelated to. We want this to be as fair as possible as the moderators were allowed to enter - Mike and I are the only ones involved in selecting the winners. This is getting exciting... so who will it be?!

Thanks in advance for those that have purchased tickets. This donation is going to allow me to do a few things I've wanted to do for a while, such as raise the bandwidth level to a level where it wont be an ongoing problem, I can purchase a network storage device capable of redundant, automatic backups and allows some leftover for whatever comes up or site enhancements. Everyone should give a big thanks to MikeCam and the donaters for their generocity and helping this place survive and prosper!

Who knows, maybe we'll do one of these a year?!

The school bus forgot to pick up my oldest child on her very first day of school.
There is no second first day of school for one's oldest child. The second childs first day will be exciting I am sure, but this was our first as parents.
Totally blown by a geriatric bus driver who forgot that there was a new child down the road and he turned where he normally does instead of where he is supposed to. Dad needs some consolation, COME ON GOOD KARMA!

Well you still have first cuss words learned at school! First swallowed teeth (as the old ones come out). First crisis with the teacher.

And my favorite - first recognition that adults other than dad and mom know something. And it contradicts dad and mom! They start negotiating then!

Doug and I missed a critical email between 12 midnight and this morning. He needed me to do something (important) and I missed the message. Hence a delay. Now I am up to date and Doug will get my latest email as soon as his schedule gets him there.
