johnnyjs1 wrote:Kinda new here, so please excuse my newbyism  . If you shorten the arm, it raises the rear end of the bike up correct? Is anyone having the problem of sliding even more forward on the seat than usual. I dont know about you guys, but my family jewels are already almost hitting the tank. Went for a ride last night, hit a bit of a sink hole, almost lost the girlfriend off the back, and nearly got a vasectomy at the same time. Felt like someone reared back and kicked me in the nads. Had to pull into a parking lot and wait for the unmistakeable lower abdomin pain to go away (you guys know what i'm talking about  ). So i guess my question is: Does the seat angle towards the front more with this mod?
Thanks,
Johnny
Well, yes it does, but it's angled so much already I doubt you'll notice that difference.... Here's the solution to your problem http://r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=10888

Ves...
After i posted that message, I got to thinking...and i came up with a solution like the one you mentioned. Its posted as "Wow what a difference 3/4" makes". You are right, the seat is already sloped even without the shorter arm, so much so that i had to make spacers to use on longer trips.

Am I confused - I thought the Rocksters came from the factory with the shorter torque arm as standard equip? I thought that was one of the differences between the Rockster and the standard R1150R?

If in fact that is not the case, does anyone have the part # for the torque arm to be used as discussed here?

Thank you! :D

nope - it's the standard arm.

The one you want is the GS length arm, don't know the part number though.
